Insomnia happens when a person experiences difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up earlier than desired. Insomnia can be classified into chronic (more than 3 consecutive months) and short term (intermittent, and less than 3 consecutive months).

Sleep medicine is a medical subspecialty devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disturbances and disorders. Dr Mistry can offer assessment and treatment for a range of sleep disorders, and this includes offering 1 to 1 cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-i).

Dr Dipesh Mistry is a highly qualified sleep psychiatrist qualified who has helped thousands of people across the UK get a better night sleep.

He qualified from the Royal Free and University College London Medical School, and has pursued specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry. Whilst completing his specialist training at the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Mistry also honed his skills as a Sleep Physician in the Insomnia and Behavioural Sleep Medicine Clinic at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, under the guidance of Dr Hugh Selsick.
